What is an inactivity fee and why am I being charged?

As per the terms and conditions of the card, an inactivity fee is charged to your card if there is no transaction or activity for over 6 months during the lifetime of the card. This is to prevent the card from being dormant or unused for a certain period of time.
Certain cards are activated upon creation. This varies per the agreement that we have with the organization that provided you the card. Hence, it is best that you at least use the card once upon receiving them and then once every 3 months until they expire. That should prevent the card from incurring inactivity charges.
