I see an End of Day Batch Process transaction on my account. What does this mean?

The End of Day Batch Process is the foreign exchange fee occurred when the card is used outside of Canada. Depending on how many times the card was used within a day, you may see several of these transactions pop up on your transaction history. Please note that the next End of Day Batch transaction that comes right after your purchase does not necessarily mean that it is the fee for that particular purchase.

The foreign exchange fee may be charged onto the card 2 or 3 days after the original transaction took place. This is largely due to the actual date the transaction is finalized with the merchant and may vary according to the merchant's transaction finalization period.
Transactions made in foreign currencies will be converted to Canadian dollars using the Visa conversion rate in effect on the day the Transaction is posted. The currency conversion rate in effect on the Transaction date may differ from the rate in effect on the posting date
The rate may differ based on the issuing company. We recommend that you refer to the original cardholder agreement for further information
